Canva: An Introduction

You must come to class with Canva installed on your laptop.

Canva is an online graphic design app. It is very user friendly and the free version offers a large assortment of templates, images and design elements to help you make cards, invitations, certificates and so much more. Canva can help you transform the way you create with AI-powered tools.

This is a 3-sesion class and you must come to class with Canva installed on your laptop. To do this go to www.canva.com and create an account. Once you do, you’re ready to go!

What do you want to learn to design today?

Lesson 1
We’ll look at the Canva dashboard and see what options are located there: templates, elements & text.

Lesson 2
We’ll learn how to add images to your project as well as shapes, lines, graphics and styles. Frames and grids will be discussed as well as applying effects to photos.

Lesson 3
The final class will concentrate on how to add outlines to a photo, how to use the “Draw” tool and how to customize a template. We’ll learn to do text and page animations as well as explore “Magic Write” which is an AI feature.
